Does the ADA apply to all buildings in Florida?
The ADA applies to all places of public accommodation and commercial facilities. It does not apply to private residences. The Florida Accessibility Code applies to all buildings subject to the Florida Building Code, including residential buildings with more than two units.
What is the accessible path of travel requirement in Florida?
When a building undergoes renovation, accessibility improvements to the path of travel (including restrooms and drinking fountains) must be included, up to 20% of the cost of the primary renovation work.
